OUT!wear have responded with a public apology regarding the WBW issue.
I'm reproducing it under the cut, in case people don't want to visit Facebook (quite understandable). I've made one edit to correct an HTML mistake which prevented the original from displaying precisely as intended (an underline didn't show up where it should).
( OUT!wear's apology )
That sounds like a true and sincere apology to me, and I'm happy to see it. I guess they really didn't know what the issue was initially.
There were reports initially that people who commented on the entries on their Facebook negatively were getting their comments deleted. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but the resulting rumours certainly didn't help their cause. Regardless, it sounds like OUT!wear has learned something from this whole thing, and if it was true that people were getting their comments deleted, then hopefully they've learned something from that too.
I have another post coming up at some point tangentially related to this which might be interesting for people, but I wanted to post about this apology as soon as I could.
[edit: Putting the apology in a blockquote tag; I forget that cuts aren't enough to distinguish them sometimes with the collapsible cuts now.]
