Oh god oh god oh god.

At the beginning of this year, on 20th January 2010, I said that I had had the appointment with my psych and that she had agreed to make the referral.

Fast-forward 6 months, and I still haven't heard anything. Up until now I had been assured that the process could take up to 9 months, so I hadn't checked on it. My CPN advised me that I might want to check on it though, so I did.

The GIC have no record of my referral.

Neither does my doctor's surgery.

Oh god.

Well. Bloody hell. *tight hugs* I'm so sorry, darling.

Time to start ringing that psychiatrist and any- and everyone who might have been along the chain of command responsible for losing the referral. Best of luck, and let me know if there's anything I can do, yes?

Unfortunately, the psychiatrist in question no longer works there. I know this because some time ago I had a new doctor assigned to me. So it's him that I'll need to talk to.

As for anything that you can do - talking would help. I need to talk right now. I'm on Skype if you want to come on, or as always I'm on IRC.

The most annoying thing is that it's been 6 months since the referral was supposed to go through, and I only checked just now. I was hoping it'd be only at least another 3 months but now I might have to wait at least another half a year. :(((((

forgive me if i'm being dense, but what was the referral for? either my pregnant brain doesn't remember or i never knew (although i recall you talking about it so i probably just don't remember).

Well, the Gender Identity Clinic is where I would be headed in order to access various services I would need, but most importantly at the moment it's where I would be getting my hormones from, which is key to a number of things. I'd explain more, but right now I'm a bit tired. Catch me tomorrow, we'll chat. :)
