I've received a response from Steam. It sounds like it's going to be positive. :)

I'll update you all when it's all resolved.

Glad to hear it seems to be going better now - can't wait for your update on this (yes, I have been keeping up with this from the start, but I've been quiet, since sometimes I just don't know what to do, except listen). And, you know, you're right - we need the Tracking option for personal journals, too (this very situation, in which I'm waiting for your next update, made me realize how useful that would be). Want to toss a coin for who posts it to [site community profile] dw_suggestions ?

*chuckles* Actually, that same option *is* available for personal journals. Simply do the same as with a community - go to the profile of the journal you want to track and click "Track Account" on the right.

You can't track *every* comment on a personal journal, though, and I think that's deliberate. It'd be kind of creepy otherwise. You can track posts though!

Edited (Updating to use the right text of the option, and clarifying a part.) 2011-01-27 11:11 pm (UTC)

Oh, OK, so you can subscribe to get new posts from personal journals as well as comms? I feel like I just joined DW yesterday, I swear. Then again, [personal profile] foxfirefey just helped me figure out that I suffer from right-hand blindness, so at least now we know my psuedo-noobishness is for a reason.

I'm going to have to re-teach myself how to look at web pages, since I seem to take it for granted that everything I need or want is on the left (the feature you and her point out for tracking from the Profile page is also on the right-hand side).

I just re-read your comment about this on my journal, and what you were suggesting was a FAQ to explain where all these links are, and yeah, after what I've been going through to find them this week, I agree that would make a good suggestion. :)

Woo! You actually got through to them. Go customer power!

I'm looking forward to seeing the resolution.
