So, for the record, the reason I haven't yet imported my old posts/userpics/etc. is because I'd like to do it all in one go, and I don't want to import comments until I know everything is okay with the importer. It's not that I don't trust it, but I don't want to import comments from other people without giving them warning. This is probably just me, though.

Also, the font in the HTML tab of the editor is waaaaaay too small. (I think this is the case with LJ too.)

It's a good plan! I gave in and imported mine to test the importer (which is made of magic. But doesn't like my userpics.)

I haven't imported my journal yet because I am fairly confident that I'd break the importer. 6000+ entries, 440000 comments (yes, I think I got the right number of zeros on there...) and I think the importer would say OH SHIT and fall over d-e-d dead.

azurelunatic imported 24,000 entries -- it *did* break the importer a few times, though, and certainly stressed it!
